Kingdom Rhythm

Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding on behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people). Ephesians 6:18 AMPC

If we are not careful we can walk through each day like a sleep-walker, never fully present or paying attention to the people and opportunities around us. Or, worse yet, never seeking God during our day to day walking around life.

Instead of relegating God to a specific time each day, intentionally seek to weave your awareness of Him throughout your day. He is present and waiting for you to invite Him into each moment of your unfolding life.

When we intentionally slow down and set rhythms in place to connect with God, we begin to sense His Spirit and presence throughout the day. We notice the nudge to call a friend and ask how they are doing. We breathe in the scent of nature and slow our footsteps as we exit work, thanking Him for vibrant color and an evening of rest. We pause to talk to God before turning on music.

Start here: Good morning Father. Thank you for today and for the rhythm of Your creation. Help me to hear Your Kingdom rhythm. Make the beats loud enough that I am unable to ignore them. Tune my heart to the majesty of Your symphony, making it impossible to ignore the Holy Spirit’s promptings and Your call on my life. All praise, glory, and honor be unto You, forever and ever. Amen.
