Love defines a Christian.
As People of the Way we are called to love as Christ loves us. Realistically, sacrificially, purposefully, willingly, and absolutely. We don’t learn to do this from television shows or societal trends, but by studying the Word of God and observing how God loves us. We can pave a way for the salvation of the ungodly by letting them see the truth and ways of God in our love toward our brothers and sisters in Christ, and toward unbelievers.
The next time you tell someone “I love you,” make sure that person can reply “I know,” because they’ve seen your love in action.
