On Tolerance and Intolerance

Is it intolerant to believe Jesus is God? If something is true, a person’s belief in that thing is not intolerant.

Why is the truth that Jesus is God so important to defend, even at the risk of being thought intolerant? Consider:

  1. Jesus’s deity makes it possible for us to know God.
  2. His deity exalts him above all others.
  3. His deity affirms Him as “the way, the truth, and the life.”

We don’t come to this belief because we choose it, but because it is patently true. And because it is true, here we take our stand. And herein is our only hope in this life and the next.
