The Practice of The Presence of God /1

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. Kingdom weapons have divine power to demolish strongholds, and to cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every loose thought, emotion, and impulse into the structure of a life shaped by Christ. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

God will not make me think like Jesus; I have to do it myself. I have to bring “every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” Easier said than done, to be sure. Nonetheless a standard to strive for in the practice of being present with God.
