The Ethos Of Daniel

Ethos is the distinguishing character, sentiment, moral nature, or guiding beliefs of a person, group, or institution (Merriam-Webster).

The Prophet Daniel was an obedient and faithful man of God. He displayed great integrity and wisdom. God himself likened Daniel’s righteousness to that of Noah and Job (Ezekiel 14:14).

The Daniel ethos is sorely needed today. Translated into today’s world, using necessary inference, that would be a man who doesn’t watch porn, doesn’t use drugs, works hard, reads extensively of history, hangs around righteous people, understands his Bible, studies it, and prays.

Selah.
