Foolishness

Think again, you fools! When will you finally catch on? Do you suppose the God who makes ears is deaf? That the one who formed your eyes is blind? He punishes the nations. He knows everything. Doesn’t he also know what you are doing? Won’t he also punish you? The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. Psalm 94:8-11, adapted.

The psalmist reminds us that God, who created all things, sees not only our deeds, but also knows our innermost thoughts. That there is nothing beyond God’s knowledge. And that Justice will prevail.

What now 2 do? Eschew foolishness: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take. Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.” Proverbs 3:5-7 NLT
