No Turning Back /1

When the days drew near for Him to be taken up, He set His face to go to Jerusalem. Mark 9:51 ESV

2,000 years ago Jesus turned His face resolutely toward Jerusalem, the cross, and the first Easter. No turning back. A fitting theme for Easter: I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back. During Easter week 2024, we consider what “no turning back” meant for Jesus, and what “no turning back” means for those who decide to follow Jesus.

As you listen to the song, let the lyrics permeate your soul:

I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
I have decided to follow Jesus;
No turning back, no turning back.

Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
Though none go with me, still I will follow;
No turning back, no turning back.

The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
The world behind me, the cross before me;
No turning back, no turning back.
