Visualize This

Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing. Isaiah 40:26 NKJV

In Isaiah’s time the people of God had become blinded from seeing God by looking on the face of idols. Here Isaiah calls them to look up at the heavens. To visualize their incomparable God.

One of the reasons for a sense of futility in prayer is that we have lost our power to visualize. Glare from the face of our idols has blinded us. We can no longer even imagine putting ourselves deliberately before God.

The power of visualization is what God gives us so that we can go beyond ourselves and be firmly placed into circumstances and relationships we could never otherwise experience.

Has your ability to visualize our majestic God been blinded? If so, start now. Look away from the faces of your idols and go beyond yourself. As you pray today, use the gift of visualization to bring yourself squarely into His presence.
