You Just Don’t Know

Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can fully share its joy. Proverbs 14:10 NLT

The gamut of a person’s feelings, from bitterness to joy, cannot be fully shared with another human. No matter how close we are, no one can really know the internal experiences of another. Only God fully knows the human heart in all its individuality and complexity. Our fellowship with each other must take into account that, in some sense, we are each somewhat of a stranger to the other.
