A New Day. A Fresh Slate

The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is His faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
Lamentations 3:22-23 (NLT)

God’s love and mercy are fresh each morning. The beginning of a new day provides a fresh start where the slate has been wiped clean, with no traces of yesterday. A new day to do life better.

In our joy, let’s not forget the next step.

Search me, O God, and know my heart; test my thoughts. Point out anything you find in me that makes you sad, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. Psalm 139:23-24 (TLB)

When is the last time you asked God to search your heart and to show you any areas of sin or un-surrender? Ask Him for a fresh work of the Spirit in your life, and for grace to respond in true brokenness and humility. And let today’s slate be a pleasing aroma to our God.
