No Half Measure

As for you, my son Solomon, know the God of your father, and serve Him wholeheartedly and with a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; but it you forsake Him, He will reject you forever. 1 Chronicles 28:9 NASB, David, King of Israel and a man after God’s own heart.

Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full – pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap. The amount you give will determine the amount you get back. Luke 6:38 NLT, Jesus, Son of God.

Two verses, one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament. Both strong admonitions to live and serve God fully and wholeheartedly. Put another way, there is no halfway compromise in the providence of God.
