Fear And Wisdom

The reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is the beginning (the chief and choice part) of Wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight and understanding. Proverbs 9:10 AMPC

Holy fear is reverence and awe of the majesty of God. To fear God is to be completely devoted to His will while recognizing the awesome consequences of not fearing Him. Fear of the Lord enables man to reverence God’s authority, obey His commandments, and hate and shun evil. Fear of the Lord is a foundational principle of wisdom, the secret of uprightness (a feature of the people in whom God delights), and the whole duty of man (Ec. 12:13).

Truly worshipping God is a life fully surrendered to Him. Those who know and worship the Lord submit to His authority and consequently grow in wisdom and righteousness. All else is foolishness.

Yield yourself to God in reverent fear. Worship Him with your life.
